Meet The Team
Nicole Nehiley
Nicole is the Co-executive Director of The Roots Project as well as a recent 2017 graduate from Rhode Island College. Nicole earned her bachelor's degree in Political Science with a focus of Non-governmental Organizations. After visiting the Henry Davis Foundation in Ecuador during her winter break, she felt inspired about the progress that was made in such a short time and believed she could do even more. After graduation, she combined her passions for economic development and social justice with the ambition and drive of her team to launch The Roots Project.
Allison Barry
Allison is the Co-executive Director of The Roots Project and a current senior at Rhode Island College. She is a Justice Studies major with a concentration in Sociology and Non-Governmental Organizations. Her passions include children's rights and advocacy as well as food justice. While visiting Henry Davis, she noticed an incredible opportunity to bridge a detached understanding of "the other". Through The Roots Project, Allison aims to continue Henry Davis's legacy of providing programs for children to grow into confident, healthy, driven men and women through education and agriculture projects.
Caitlin McDonough
Caitlin is the Social Media Coordinator and 2017 graduate from University of Rhode Island with degrees in Film Media and Sociology. Her passions for social justice, travel, and media was sparked during a study abroad trip to Belize for a documentary class during her time at URI and made her a perfect match for her role at The Roots Project. When Caitlin’s not traveling the world, she’s attending trivia nights, playing the drums, and mourning the end of Game of Thrones.
Kiana Anderson
Kiana is the Director of Finance and a current applied math and finance double major at the University of Rhode Island. She joined the team after being inspired by the opportunities that The Roots Project provides to kids who are living with limited resources. She is driven to use her quantitative skills in order to create growth within the organization and, as a result, growth for Henry Davis.
